Women and Positive Discrimination

Another European stupidity is contaminating the Eastern countries. As part of the European Union, all regional and national institutions must apply the 'more-women' principle. In other words, they should prefer women over men in order to produce a gender equilibrium in organizations and in society. The basic idea is that this kind of policy will promote a more civilized attitude towards women in society at large. An official representative said that "positive discrimination is a desiderate in the European Union". A similar trend took shape at the end of the '90s regarding the gipsy minority. My questions is whether this principle is added up at a list of clear criteria. If not, we talk about positive discrimation. And in this case, positive discrimination is as bad as negative discrimination is.

This is another effect of the political correctness trend. Soon, a new constrain will affect our lives: we will have to reconsider our position towards carrots, potatoes and sheep or cows.
